6 December 2021
Scale-ups from food, water, energy, waste and mobility sectors wanted - deadline for application on December 10

The international Scale Cities network including Hamburg is now accepting applications from scale-ups for its Dealmaking Day next March. The search is on for novel solutions in the food, water, energy, waste and mobility sectors. Thirty finalists will receive pitch coaching and personal matchmaking with three investors. Applications can be submitted online until the deadline of December 10, 2021. Many investors are looking for scale-ups operating sustainably and economically (scale-up) to grow rapidly and efficiently.

Boosting local start-up ecosystems

The Scale Cities network aims to strengthen local start-up ecosystems by having participating cities share their networks, peers, experiences, insights and best practices. Apart from Hamburg, the Scale Cities network includes Vienna, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Madrid and Porto.

Prerequisites for Dealmaking Day

The network is looking for growing start-ups from seed to the Series A investment phase with solutions in at least one of the five sectors, i.e. food, water, energy, waste and mobility. Applicants should have more than three employees (full-time equivalent) and must have been in business for over than three years.
