Marks start of new direct flight - Tel Aviv airline founded in Hamburg

Tel Aviv Air completed its first direct flight from Hamburg to Tel Aviv on Sunday (March 6, 2022). Founded by the Hamburg-based Shlomo Almagor and Paul Scodellaro, flights will depart Hamburg Airport every Thursday and Sunday to Israel's second largest city

"The Hamburg to Tel Aviv route closes a gap in our route network," said Gesa Zaremba, Head of Airline & Traffic Development at Hamburg Airport. The direct flight will boost cultural and economic exchange between the cities. Travel agency owner Almagor and Scodellaro, a former head of sales at the airline Germania, view business travellers, Israeli holidayers as their strongest target group .
