OMR festival to go ahead on May 17th and 18th after two-year break

Over 60,000 visitors expected at meeting of digital business and marketing scene

The Online Marketing Rockstars (OMR) festival returns to Hamburg's exhibition halls on May 17 and 18, 2022 after a two-year intermission. Organisers are expecting over 60,000 visitors, 800 speakers and 1,000 exhibitors at the meeting of the digital business and marketing scene.

Exhibition, conference, master classes and concerts 

Organisers aim "to continue where we left off in 2019" and "to live up to the high expectations," said Philipp Westermeyer, founder of OMR. The agenda features marginal events such as concerts, exhibition, expo, conference and master classes. He added: "In difficult times, we believe in the special value of personal get-togethers and positive, optimistic exchanges."

Large companies, several innovative SMEs and start-ups will pitch their ideas this year. The announced speakers include Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino, best-selling author Rutger Bregman, YouTuber Rezo and Harvard professor Anita Elberse. Live acts expected to perform include Kraftclub, Rin, Zoe Wees and Marteria.

New events on mobility and finance

Two new events focusing on transport and finance will debut this year. The Future Moves - New Mobility Summit on May 17 will give insight into mobility of the future and experts will discuss sustainable and digital mobility solutions on stage. The Finance Forward conference will go ahead on May 18 with emphasis on fintechs, new currencies and NFTs. Tickets for the OMR Festival 2022 are available online.

Hamburg Invest's Startup-Unit is offering two start-ups an opportunity to experience the Online Marketing Rockstars Festival (OMR) up close this year. The start-ups will be hosted at Hamburg Invest and the Startup Unit's joint booth and will have have access to all the fesival events Applications are being accepted until the deadline of April 24, 2022. Applicants should send  a short text (max. 600 characters) outlining why their start-up should attend to startup-unit@hamburg-invest.com. Interested companies must be based in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and detail the business link to the OMR Festival. The selected start-ups will be notified by April 29, 2022
