MCN podcast outlines startups' impact on shipping

Latest podcast focuses on start-ups' ideas for industry

A podcast by the Maritime Cluster Norddeutschland (MCN) is now reporting on digitalization, decarbonization, sustainability and the latest developments in shipping. "We present our members’ innovations and projects and give insight through MCN Radar," said Jessica Wegener, Managing Director of MCN. The second episode of the podcast focuses on innovative start-ups in shipping.

Start-ups may trigger rethink

Marvin Müller, who hosts the podcast, discusses how small companies could revamp shipping with their sustainable and creative solutions and how these approaches and ideas succeed. Emphasis will be on change needed in traditional companies to remain viable. The interviewees include Arne Kraft (Marinom), Carsten Bullemer (Trusteddocks, Navisense) and Lucius Bunk (Auerbach Schifffahrt). The podcast is available on popular streaming platforms and the MCN website.

Collaboration in north German shipping industry

The Maritime Cluster Northern Germany was founded in 2011 and is a cross-state collaboration between the states of Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The MCN boosts co-operation in the north German maritime sector and comprises more than 350 companies and institutions in business, science and politics.
