Managing Director of Renewable Energy Hamburg outlines steps towards becoming hydrogen city

Environment-friendly hydrogen is the energy carrier of the future and is vital for effectuating the energy transition and achieving climate protection targets. North Germany already leads the nation in terms of renewable energies. Hydrogen may yet become a similar success story and plans are being laid to transform Hamburg into a European hydrogen hub. Jan Rispens, Managing Director of the Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster Agency GmbH, outlines the next steps towards advancing Hamburg as a centre of hydrogen after the cluster was expanded in February to include hydrogen. Rispens gives an interview to Daniel Hautmann, a science journalist and author based in Hamburg.
