Hamburg to present city as centre of start-ups at Slush 2021
More than 3,000 start-ups including four from Hamburg are expected at the international Slush 2021 in Helsinki from December 1-2. Hamburg Invest's Startup Unit is organising Hamburg's attendance and accompanying the start-ups to Finland. The conference offers a great opportunity to meet international investors and representatives of companies all over the world.
Hamburg to highlight potential for innovation
Dr. Rolf Strittmatter, Managing Director of Hamburg Invest, stressed: "Hamburg is the second most innovative German state after Berlin, according to the latest ING-Diba AG Innovation Index. We want to highlight our potential for innovation to the international investor scene at Slush and to encourage investors to invest more in start-ups in the Elbe city." The Startup Unit is the main point of contact for knowledge and technology-orientated start-ups in Hamburg and helps them forge all kinds of contacts through its vast network. The Startup-Unit will be supporting the Aidhere, BotTalk, Ai-omatic Solutions and Pockid start-ups at Slush 2021.
Hanseatic start-ups at Slush
Aidhere develops and markets digital health applications. The company offers therapy options for diseases which require a change in behaviour. Its main digital obesity product helps patients reduce weight in the long term and in a healthy manner.
The BotTalk text-to-speech application makes written texts accessible for voice assistants. The company's target group includes publishers of online magazines. Users press Bottalk's "Listen" button to hear news articles read aloud on websites. The founders of Bottalk took part in the 2019 Next Media Accelerator in Hamburg.
Ai-omatic's predictive maintenance software evaluates machines based on data and predicts possible malfunctions precisely. Customers are informed about the actual condition of their machines and can to react to changes in time.
The Pockid banking app offers children from age seven, teenagers and their parents a digital current account with debit Mastercard. The bank account works entirely on a credit basis. Parents can overview and control spending using a dashboard. Pockid has allegedly become Europe's largest online direct bank by followers on Tiktok in a short space of time.
